Abstract:

Microorganisms in agricultural soil are an under-analyzed part of Long Island’s vast biodiversity. This research project will focus on the characterization of microbial diversity, the correlation of microbial diversity and fertilization techniques, and the assessment of microbial impact, which are intended to help explore long-term sustainable agricultural practices, focusing on Long Island tomato crops.
