Abstract:

In this study, our objective is to examine the effect of water pollution on DNA mutations in algae. In this experiment, algae will be collected from two locations: Central Park and Black Rock Forest. The DNA of both algae species collected will be analyzed. Our ultimate goal is to draw comparisons and evaluate the data obtained in relation to the DNA database available at the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI). Through this investigation, we hope to gain insights into how water and environmental pollution can influence DNA mutations.
