Abstract:

Apples represent one of the most widely recognized and biodiverse fruit in the world. Specifically, on Long Island, many species of apple trees are grown for consumer use. However, due to changes in climate conditions and lack of resources, many species cannot survive, leading to localized extinction. The goal of this project is to assess the biodiversity of species at Harbes' Farm in Long Island.
