Abstract:

We will collect crayfish, a type of freshwater crustacean, in Van Cortlandt Park and use DNA barcoding to identify the species found. We aim to find multiple species of crayfish to help the Friends of Van Cortlandt Park organization to identify more biodiversity in the park, and to attempt to make a connection between these data and the quality of the water at different locations in Van Cortlandt Park Lake.
