Abstract:

The study of Port Jefferson Harbor entails a continuation of a study from last year on pilings found on the southeastern side of the harbor and an investigation of worms in the silty sediments on the southwestern section of the harbor. Additional analyses of pH, temperature, salinity, phosphates, nitrates, ammonia, sulfates and any anthropogenic debris will be collected on sampling days at both sites to see if any differences exist.
