Abstract:

Urban Green Spaces are a very popular and common trend in urban areas. These green spaces provide their own ecosystem to the surrounding flora and fauna. The ecological benefits are vast. However, it is still unknown if the type of park will affect the biodiversity. Biodiversity of various green spaces are dependent on the vegetation. Depending on the vegetation’s biodiversity, the insect and mammalian biodiversity will vary. We chose two very similar parks, one with a corridor and one without to test if corridor parks truly do improve biodiversity in urban settings.
