Abstract:

According to the National Wildlife Federation, biodiversity is the variety of life in an area. Throughout the entire world, with its many biomes and ecosystems, there is a tremendous biodiversity. We can study the biodiversity of life on many levels, including within a marsh or an intertidal zone. Identifying the species within an ecosystem can lead to the understanding of the relationships between life on Earth, and presents a great challenge in science.
