Angelica sinensis is a popular Asian herbal ingredient used in medicine and cooking. Mainly used for gynecological disorders, this herbal ingredient has questionable sources despite being a commercial product. The purpose of this study is to compare various samples that contain dong quai (root powder form and supplements) with their relatives cilantro/coriander and parsley. We hypothesize that most brands tested will not contain the herbal ingredient due to its exclusive growing conditions and also the plant's price makes it very expensive to sell outside of China.
