Abstract:

Our project aims to find the correlation between the DNA sequences of stone fruits (peaches, apricots, plums) and almonds because they are all part of the Rosaceae family and prunus genus. We will then create a phylogenetic tree based on our results and compare the new tree to the phylogenetic data of traditional taxonomists.
