Abstract:

The biodivesity of Long Island and specifically of the aquatic organisms is very divergent in different bodies of water. Long Island Sound has a lot of harmful pollutants, for example deicers and fuel from airports. The purpose of this investigation is to study of the biodiversity of aquatic invertebrates living adjacent to and a distance from Laguardia airpot. It is anticipated that the pollutants will increase the diversity seen adjacent to the airport.
