Through the course of the year we hope to find organisms in the walls of the pipe connecting Reynold’s channel and a pond. The pipe is made of concrete and this may affect what organisms live there. We hope to use taxonomic keys to identify these organisms and with those that are unidentifiable we wish to use DNA barcoding. Comparing our findings to others using the Simpson's index of diversity will allow us to see the difference of biodiversity when there is an abundance of dissolved inorganic nitrogen in a low salt marsh. We hypothesize that there will be a unique community of benthic and infaunal organisms given unique water conditions
