Abstract:

We seek to assess the level of harmful nitrogen compounds and their correlation to SO2 air pollution in Central Park by using lichens as index organisms through DNA Barcoding. Traffic patterns in the area will be used as indicators of the compounds. We aim to draw a statistically significant conclusion.
