Abstract:

DNA barcoding allows for the distinction of species for an individual or group of organisms. The barcoding of tardigrades allows for further analysis of the aquatic animal. Despite their peculiar morphology and amazing diversity of habitats, relatively little is known about these tiny animals. This makes them ideal research subjects, allowing scientists and various interested students to research and experiment with to add additional data to the topic. Hence, tardigrades are the subject of this experiment.
