Abstract:

For this experiment, there are two main goals. Using DNA barcoding and collected samples of Phragmites, it is hoped that they will be achieved. In order to do so, DNA barcoding is going to be used in order to determine the difference between native and non-native Common Reed, Phragmites australis, at Seatuck National Wildlife Preserve, Heckscher State Park, and Gardener's Park, all located in the Great South Bay area.
