Abstract:

We propose to test the precision of lichens as index organisms for sulfur dioxide pollution. We hypothesize that the lichens which we will find in Tenafly will correlate to the amount of sulfur dioxide in the area (we will also find the amount of sulfur dioxide in the area. We will identify the species of lichens by DNA barcoding.
