Abstract:

The purpose of our DNA Barcoding project is to determine whether citrus fruits other than grapefruits are genetically similar to grapefruits. We will be looking for similarities in the DNA sequences in the chloroplasts of each of these fruits. By seeking to determine the genetic relationships between these different citrus fruits, we can do further research to determine whether these citrus fruits can also adversely affect an individual when combined with certain medications.
