Abstract:

Vines grow in many places; the sides of buildings, fences and backyards. How many of those vines are native to New York? The purpose of the project is to find out if invasive species of vines are already in our neighborhoods in Brooklyn. If it turns out to be true that there are invasive vines in Brooklyn, we would like to communicate to local organizations that the vines should be removed from our neighborhoods and bring in more native species. The safety and biodiversity of Brooklyn's neighborhoods is our main objective in our work.
