The reason that the conditions in cemeteries are so good for biodiversity is that they are usually left untouched by humans. While the world around us is ever changing and modernizing, graveyards have remained constant preserves for nature for hundreds of years. This has led to the creation of a uniquely unchanged environment that breeds rich biodiversity. Graveyards are usually quiet, secluded areas surrounded by trees and other vegetation, which is a perfect habitat for animals. All kinds of organisms live in cemeteries, including bats, ants, spiders, slugs, lichen, grasses, wildflowers, squirrels, and even deer. We will collect the samples and process them according to the procedure listed in the method section of this proposal. In addition, we will record the air temperature of each location as well as observe the exact latitude and longitude for each location. We plan to analyze the biodiversity found around posts in cemeteries to see if there are interesting organisms present due
