Abstract:

Forest Park lies along side a major highway in Queens, New York. Air pollution and human interference are two of the largest contributors to the decline in biodiversity of insects. We are looking to sample invertebrates from a spot near the highway and one more seclude and protected to determine the presence of known bioindicator species that would signal the presence of compounds dangerous to humans and biodiversity.
